Hey Bratz Fans!

Thanks to our super-sleuthing abilities, we’ve tracked down the prototypes for some of this fall’s Bratz & Bratzillaz offerings – even some things that haven’t come out yet!

Keep in mind that everything pictured are EXTREMELY early prototypes and the new things shown here will either be very different or may not even come out at all! This is just to see for fun.

My Passion is actually almost identical to the final dolls! Jade’s changed the most, going from this amazing full-pink bob to her signature jet black with pink highlights. Yasmin’s bag also went from black to electric lime green 🙂

And here’s Action Heroez, who clearly have gone through several changes – including dropping Jade all-together in place of Shira, Phoebe, and Roxxi! While we ADORE these prototypes and would L.O.V.E. them to look like these, we aren’t too let down by the final dolls, since they’re so diferent! Love those funky sunglasses/hero masks.

Costume Bash’s fashions didn’t change too much, just a few cut details here and there. Overall, we aren’t bothered by the changes – though a Yasmin with full pink hair would be totally cool!

How freaky is it seeing Totally Polished on SHORT bodies?! And Cloe and Yasmin x2? LOL! Fashions didn’t really change at all except for Yasmin – love the princess heels and different tights!

OMG y’all, new shoe packs! No guarantee that these will come out, but we can hope so! There’s supposed to be three packs (We’re assuming each row is a pack; One boots, one ankle boots, one heels, and one sneakers) and we LOVE all the different colors and the mix of old and new molds!

And here are the protos for the fall 2013 Basic line!! Yasmin’s only major change is her fur, Jade’s only ditched her socks and arm-warmers (and glasses, but they look a little odd anyways :P), and Cloe’s changed the most, though we honestly prefer the refined look of her final doll! Love the leopard print though.

And now for Bratzillaz – TONS of stuff coming from the witches!

Check out these witchy playsets! The grand Piano plays music and vibrats, and the bed and vanity can transform and “walk” – We aren’t too sure what that means LOL! But totally wicked nonetheless

You might remember this horse from our “Fall Preview” article – well now we’ve got a better look! The name of the line (or the horse – we aren’t entirely positive) is Crystal Ice Princess and this amazing horse has a bone structure that glows in the dark! As well as three color-change lights in side – totally wicked!

OMG a Bratzillaz car! Again, not guaranteed to come out, but we really hope so! This RC car has real working lights and transforms into a vanity for the Bratzillaz to use!

A better look at the Bratzillaz Back to Magic prototypes we revealed back in April! Victoria really didn’t change at all, Sashabella is a little interesting, as is Jade, and Meygana’s googly-eyed purse makes us LOL!

And here you can see the prototypes for the fall 2013 budget ‘Zillaz! Jade didn’t change much at all aside from articulation (But who didn’t see that coming anyways?), and Yasmina was dropped entirely! She looks wicked cute though 🙂

And the BEST for LAST, check out three of the Bratzillaz Witchy Band dolls! These are AMAZING, look at all those details!!! The final dolls, if they come out, obviously won’t be as insanely detailed for a playline price, but we really hope to see them come out and look pretty similar like Witchy Princess!! Just LOOK AT THEM!!! Agh, perfection ❤

Hey Bratz Fans!

Remember that new budget Bratzillaz Jade J’Adore doll from taobao we talked about a short while back, with the painted eyes and furry skirt? Well our long-time friend Domenic has just tracked down both her and Meygana from the line (Surprise! They’re the only 2 in it!) at KMart! He sent us pix straight from the car, and you can check ’em out below!

We are totally stunned by how much we love these! Is it just us, or has MGA painted their eyes differently from the spring budget Bratzillaz? They look SO much less creepy here in our opinions. Meygana is just amazing head-to-toe. We love her hair, love her blue accessories, and LOVE her super-detailed outfit! Even Jade looks a lot better than when we first saw her on taobao. It’s cool how much she changes up her hair color! Still aren’t feelin’ that top sadly, but if it’s separate, she could have major potential! Love her shoes! It is a little odd that Meygana and Jade are the only two witches in this line, since there appears to be no signs of Cloetta or Yasmina anywhere for fall, but we’re sure they’ll show up again soon! 🙂

WOW! How wicked amazing are these forgotten princesses?! The amount of detail put into them is just breath-taking! They may be prototypes, but if we’ve learned anything from the Back to Magic late protos from WalMart.ca, the final dolls most likely won’t be too different at all! That’s just amazing, considering they’re only 17pounds, and probably USD$16.77-$19.99! Our favorite has to be Carolina Past, though we’re totally blown away by the entire group!! Love all the netting and “tattered yet glam” look of everything!!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today, Amazon has added photos to even more of its listings for this fall’s MGA dolls! We now have photos for Bratz Costume Bash, Bratz Basic Fall 2013, and Bratzillaz Back to Magic! Check ’em all out below.

L-R: Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade! Click to view massive full size!

L-R: Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade! Click to view massive full size!

First, here is the new Bratz Basic Yasmin, Cloe, and Jade! We added Sasha to the photo as well, though we already saw – and addressed – her the other day. How amazing is this collection?! The core four is dressed to impress in super trendy fashions that also have quite a bit of edge! Yasmin’s outfit is perhaps the most on-trend in our opinions. Just look at that floral denim!! And we’re very happy to see that shoe mold again. Cloe is a major favorite of ours as well. Her look is VERY urban and edgy! The high-waisted leather shorts are HOT, as is the netted top with purple leather bustier! We aren’t incredibly thrilled about her molded purple legs, but it really isn’t an issue, and just adds to the sassy, skin-tight look of her outfit! We will say we would have loved her to include the fingerless gloves and chain belt shown in her art, but with the basic boxes being half-exposed, it makes sense for MGA to omit pieces like that, which would be incredibly easy to steal. Jade is another stunner with her edgy “goth schoolgirl”-esque look! We are so stoked to see another Jade in pigtails, and the red streaks are just awesome – we were getting bored with all the pink! Her makeup is equally rad, with her deep red lips! The outfit Kool Kat is rockin’ is too cool as well! We are loving the use of plaid, as well as the kitty face on her top – definitely a throwback to Jade’s early wardrobe!! Like Cloe, Jade also has molded leggings, but it’s really not a big deal since this line isn’t articulated anyways. The new shoe mold on Jade is amazing! We are really happy to see so many new shoes this fall, and the fact that MGA is getting back to painting the molded details make them all even better!!

And now here is this year’s “Halloween” line – Bratz Costume Bash! This line is so cool because it takes the quirkiness of the old 2006-2008 Costume Party collections, and adds a touch of last year’s Chic Mystique over-the-top attitude! It appears there’s no Sasha in the line at the moment. Yasmin is going to the bash dressed a cute cowgirl with an adorable little pink and white hat (Which is a new mold!), a bandana scarf, a tiny badge (Love it!!), and some classic Bratz Wild Wild West boots! We’d also like to point out that all three dolls come with purses. Sadly, they aren’t fabric, but the fact that we’re getting this many accessories this fall is totally something to celebrate! Cloe is probably the most OTT, as a 70’s hippie chick! We’ll admit, this look is more of a typical costume store-style hippie than a legitimate one, but we suppose that was the point of the line! A Cloe dressed in trendy boho chic clothes wouldn’t make much sense for a Costume Bash 😉 Our absolute favorite thing about this Cloe would be her shoes. No, you aren’t seeing things, MGA is seriously bringing back the fan-favorite Bratz Princess shoes for this line! We also love her long, super-curly hair and funky purple streaks! Jade would have to be our all-time favorite of the line, hands down. We don’t quite understand why she’s a gingerbread girl for Halloween – but Jade’s always been known for her quirky cool style! This doll is just SO cool and unique! From the intricately-styled white and red hair (peep the awesome “cookie” accessory!) to her (molded) stripey peppermint leggings, she is just so well put together! The little bowtie was a really great touch in our opinions! Also, note the new-new brushes. MGA updated them with the current Bratz logo!

And last, but most definitely not least, are Bratzillaz Back to Magic Victoria Antique, Sashabella Paws, and Meygana Broomstix! It appears the dolls we saw last time were very late prototypes, as these are a little different, and in our opinions, even better! We’re assuming Jade J’Adore and Illiana Honesty are shipped in a later assortment, as these three keep appearing together. First is Victoria Antique, who we are still totally loving! She hasn’t changed much from the last photo we saw, though now we can get a view of her witchmark (A snake! And all this time, we thought she was dragon-inspired) and her pet in the box (A wicked cute little turtle-esque creature). The box also reveals that her fave class is “The Science of Brew & Renew”, as her power is taking something old and making it new again! Next is Sashabella, who we are honestly so much more impressed with now! We’re so happy to see that she’s finally got some completely new makeup, with that fun bright palette on her eyes, and slightly more purple lips! The outfit hasn’t changed much, which is fine by us. We are beyond ecstatic to see that the dolls include fabric purses just like the Toy Fair prototypes we exclusively revealed! Meygana also got her glasses back, and traded in her completely braided hair for just a few braids in the front. Her outfit isn’t too different either, though the cape is now argile and doesn’t have the embroidered pattern on it. Worth noting is the new text on the box: “Bratzillaz House of Witchez”. We have no clue what this could be, though we are working on getting an answer if we can! It is interesting that “Glam Gets Wicked” is nowhere in sight, and the Bratzillaz name itself is considerably smaller than the new phrase. One guess we have is that it’s the name of a possible TV special or DVD? We already know that the Witchy Princess segment will have a detailed plot totally worthy of some form of media, so we don’t see why the witchez’ new casual looks couln’t be included in that if it were to happen 😉

UPDATE! One of our amazing friends at MGA has let us know that the “House of Witchez” tagline is NOT the title of anything upcoming, but rather a new way to let consumers know what the brand is about and that the ‘Zillaz are WITCHEZ. This is an awesome response to the ignorant haters, if we do say so ourselves!

So, what are your thoughts on these new fall segments? Let us know on facebook and twitter!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Just a quick update today. While checking the amazon listings for some of this fall’s upcoming segments, we noticed that the Bratzillaz Witchy Princess doll formerly known as Vinessa Speakers, is now called Carolina Past! The other two princesses appear to have their original names, and the rest of the listing is unchanged (Which means there are still no photos. Booooo!). To be entirely honest, we prefer this name over Vinessa Speakers for sure! Much love to the Bratz girl Vinessa, but Speakers was not a cute last name – LOL! Carolina Past fits perfectly into the “forgotten princess”/”out of the past” theme.

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today we’ve got updates on Bratz Twisty Styles and Bratzillaz Back 2 Magic, thanks to our friend Bratz Heaven! Coincidentally, we JUST asked one of our friends at MGA when we’d be seeing photos of the new dolls last night, and now we have some to share!

First, here’s Bratz Twisty Styles Jade, Yasmin, and Cloe!

Bratz Twisty Styles! L-R: Jade, Yasmin, and Cloe! Click to view full-size!

They are TOO COOL!! We get some major Tokyo A Go-Go vibes from them, mixed with some LA streetwear. We are completely in love with the new facial screenings, too! Cloe has a closed mouth!! We love that MGA has given the girls their own “signature” eye shapes and is modifying them to create new faces. It’s like each character has her own distinct facial features now! The fashions on these three are amazing as well. They match the prototypes we revealed last month almost perfectly (Though Cloe’s outfit wasn’t featured in that photo, but is in her artwork!) and we are so in love with all the details and layers! Just look at Yasmin’s little pockets and Cloe’s adorable knitted cardigan! The stripey warmers are perfect for the gorgeous, long legs the girlz have too. We can’t wait to see Sasha! Our fingers are crossed that she’s still rockin’ the blonde, though the red hair disappearing makes us doubt it a little…

Next is Bratzillaz Back 2 Magic! Photos of Sashabella, Meygana, and new witchy exchange student from China, Victoria have come out today!

The new girl, Victoria Antique from China, is WICKED cool!! We are completely in love with her color scheme, THOSE EYES, and her dragon-inspired makeup! We do feel she’d look even more wicked with red lipstick, but the bright orange is cool too. Check out all the crazy details on that outfit! Love the metal studs, the “ombre” cape, and all the little dragon scaled details! Next to her is Sashabella Paws, who we’ll admit is, so far, the low point of the line (Remember, Jade, newbie Illiana, and possibly others are in this line as well! See our exclusive prototype photos for more info). She’s gorgeous as always, and we don’t mind her outfit as a whole, but the recycled shoes, earrings, hat, and even face, are a little off-putting. Her dress though, is awesome!! We love the vintage vibes in this line and all the prints! Peep all the little stitched details! And next to SB is the flyest witch, Meygana Broomstix! Meygana is absolutely FAB in this line. The “vintage chic” look is definitely the most apparent on her, with the bold, psychedellic pattern, silky newsboy hat, and bell sleeves with ruffles! And the details are especially impressive on her, with her studded socks, the little black rhinestone buttons on her dress, and that awesome cape with stitched squares!

Overall, fall is shapin’ up to be an awesome season for the Bratz and their witchy cousins! Wouldn’t you agree? Let us know on facebook and twitter!

MGA Fall 2013 Preview!

April 20, 2013

Hey Bratz, Bratzillaz, Moxie Girlz, and Lalaloopsy fans!

Wondering what the extended intro is about? Well we’ve got a MAJOR scoop covering all of the aforementioned brands today! We’ve got photos of the prototypes for new Bratz, new Bratzillaz, new Moxie Girlz, and even new Lalaloopsy all hitting stores for fall!! Check them all out below!

*Please keep in mind the photos featured are early prototypes and everything you see has likely been changed a LOT in development!*

Of course, we’ll be starting this post off with our fave girlz – the Bratz! Unfortunately, the ONLY photo is for Twisty Styles, but hey – that’s even more than we were hoping for LOL!

WOW!! How awesome are they?! Each girl comes with awesome “dread-like” extensions to rock! We also LOVE the mixed up hair colors here, though we’re not sure if that’s a feature they’ll have in production, as the artwork is consideably different!

And next is the girlz’ wicked, witchy, magical cousins – the Bratzillaz! Luckily, we’ve got pix of Bratzillaz Back 2 Magic, and the new Witchy Glam Princess line as well!

First up is Back 2 Magic, the “2nd edition” Bratzillaz line! We’re assuming the top photo is for that line, as Sashabella, Meygana, Jade, and the two new witches are seen. We aren’t sure who it is in the bottom pic, but they are wicked glam for sure! We are SO loving the pets, too!

And now here is the line we’ve all been waiting for – Witchy Glam Princess!! We aren’t sure who is who, and quite frankly, we don’t care! All three of these witches are just absolutely enchanting!! Honestly, we can’t even choose a favorite between the three! Their fashions are totally regal and way over-the-top, and the bird cage accessories are wicked adorbs!

And next is a doll line we honestly didn’t think would have a fall 2013 line, but they do, and they’re looking cute as ever! Here are the two new fall Moxie Girlz lines!

And this line is called “Snap ‘N’ Style”. Once again the girlz are rocking the awesome bright colors in their hair and their fashions! These girlz look to include flowers and things that snap onto their dresses – way cute!!

And next up is the Sew Magical, Sew Cute… Lalaloopsy! In all honesty, we haven’t followed this line too closely, so excuse us if we make some mistakes, but we know how strong of a fanbase the Lalas have and know that you would just love to see some of what’s comin’ up!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Fellow fansite Bratz Heaven has once again scored a major scoop with more new amazon listings, this time for two new Bratzillaz segments coming this fall “Bratzillaz Back to Magic” and “Bratzillaz Wicked Glam Princess“!

As the title suggests, Back to Magic is a back-to-school segment for fall, featuring Meygana, Jade, Sashabella, and two new exchange students from India and China: Illiana Honesty and Victoria Antique. We’re predicting this range will be similar in concept to the first edition Bratzillaz line, in that it will include the dolls wearing signature fashions (And new fall outfits for Meygana, Jade, and Sashabella of course) as well as a stand, character spell card, and possibly a pet. Victoria Antique sounds amazing from her name alone, and seeing how the Zillaz represent different nationalities will be really fun to see! Check out links to the listings below.

Sashabella
Jade
Meygana
Illiana
Victoria

Wicked Glam Princess totally sounds like a working title to us, meaning it is likely to change, but the line sounds absolutely enchanting nonetheless! The listings’ detailed description with an actual plot make this segment sound like a biggie for fall, possibly backed by a webisode or even a DVD/TV special of some sort? We seriously hope so! Here’s the story behind the collection:

“While exploring the academy, the Bratzillaz™ discover hidden pictures of Forgotten Princesses (wt) they read about in history class. They recognized them by their birdcage hats, witchmark make-up, and their elegant dresses that look like they are from another time. The Bratzillaz™ use their magic to free the princesses from their picture frames and befriend them.”

That alone gives us super-high hopes for these witches. Birdcage hats and elegant dresses? Sounds like Glam is about to get a little Couture! Could it get any better? Of course! The three princesses in the line are Vinessa Speakers, who we’re guessing has some powers over music, Siernna Calmer, who we think might have some control over emotions, and Angelic Sounds, who we really have no clue what to expect of! Her last name sounds like she could also be a musician… The features for this line are bird-cage hats, glow-in-the-dark bird hair accessories, and probably the aforementioned elegant dresses, too! You can check out the listings for these wicked royals below.

Angelic Sounds
Siernna Calmer
Vinessa Speakers

We are beyond wicked excited for all of these new releases! How about all of you? Let us know on our facebook page, or tweet us!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Alex here, and if you haven’t already heard, the first wave of Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch is in stores now in both the United States and Canada! Of course I had to run out and grab them as soon as I heard the news. Check ’em out below!

The Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch wave 1 double pack next to Mattel's Monster High Create-A-Monser starter pack. Click to view full-size!

The Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch wave 1 double pack next to Mattel’s Monster High Create-A-Monser starter pack. Click to view full-size!

First, I had to take a photo in the store of the BZ pack next to a Monster High Create-A-Monster set, and even to my surprise, they’re even more different from each other than previously though! The main similarity was the packaging, but even that’s hardly similar. Bratzillaz’ box has a more “warm”, redder color scheme, and features frames on the background, as well as a fun and curvy border on the front, keeping it in with the branding for the rest of the Bratzillaz products. Monster High went for a bright lime green background, with black rectangles corresponding to the placement of each piece. And speaking of placement, even that’s pretty different. Sure the arms are all together in both sets, but where else would they place them…? If you want to get technical, you could easily say Monster High AND Bratzillaz are copying the original “Build-A-Doll”, Betty Spaghetty! Packaging aside, the obvious difference is that the Bratzillaz double pack includes far more pieces, including not only what’s necessary to build both dolls, but to fully dress them head-to-toe as well. While the Create-A-Monster sets includes two basic dresses, one pair of shoes, one real-hair wig, and one molded-hair wig, Bratzillaz keep their witches covered in two tops, two skirts, two pairs of shoes, two saran wigs, two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, two hats, and two capes – one of which doubles as a belt! With the Bratzillaz set being $24.99, and the Monster High set at $19.99, it means you can technically get two fully-articulated, saran-haired, glass-eyes BZ dolls for $12.50 (cheaper than the basic “Core” assortment out now, which lacks articulation, saran hair, and glass eyes!) or one fully-dressed-but-not-accessorized, fully-articulated Monster High ghoul with either kenekalon or molded hair, and one without shoes for about $10 each, which is cheaper than the $14.99+ they’d force you to pay as stand-alone dolls, but still at least double what they’re worth based on quality! Just some facts for consumers to consider, now let’s get wicked! 😉

Sorry for the terrible photo, I was rushing to get them open LOL! Click to view full-size!

Here’s both sets from the first wave in their boxes! It’s a bit hard to tell, but each torso piece is actually a different mold! The leg molds are actually different on each witch too, surprisingly. Don’t worry, all three can share fashions with each other as well as with the other Bratzillaz too. Personally, I love that MGA is giving us this unexpected variety! Also, I already mentioned that the 2-pack is $24.99, but the single pack is $14.99 🙂

Here’s everything that both sets come with! The double pack includes: 2 heads, 2 torsos (with the waist joint!), 4 upper legs, 4 lower legs, 4 upper arms, 4 lower arms, 4 hands, 2 saran wigs, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets, 2 hats, 2 capes (one of which doubles as a belt, as I mentioned above!), 2 tops, 2 bottoms, one brush, and instructions. Note that the background of the box makes an AMAZING backdrop for photos too!

The single pack includes: 1 head, 1 torso (with the waist joint!), 2 upper legs, 2 lower legs, 2 upper arms, 2 lower arms, 2 hands, 1 saran wig, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of earrings, 1 hat, 1 cape, 1 top, 1 bottom, 1 brush, and instructions.

And now that you’ve seen everything they come with, we can put them together and brew up three complete wicked glam witches!

The three combos I've made so far! Keep in mind that I used pieces from both sets, so you'd need to buy both in order to create these specifically. Click to view full-size!

Aren’t they amazing? MGA really did an outstanding job on this line. The black and white witch is so bold and edgy, and definitely not something you’d typically see on a stroll down the playline doll aisle! The witch in pink and green is another real cutie. I love her winged eye makeup, and of course that ‘fro is to die for! The single pack face is just amazing as well. When MGA does glass eyes, they do them RIGHT! She’s sporting the Bratzillaz’ world-famous glitter eyes in silver!
