Hey Bratz Fans! We’ve finally got some Bratz news to share, or well, it’s news to us! The blog of a former MGA designer was brought to our attention, and we are floored by what’s on it! The blog is called Sparkling and Sensuous, and is that of Youngsin Kwon, former Bratz & Moxie Girlz designer for MGA! In 2011 (How on Earth did we all miss this?!), Kwon posted quite a few of her designs for the Bratz, and Moxie Girlz, and we are living! Check them all out below.

Top L-R: Unreleased Costume Party Jade, Unreleased Alter Ego Jade, Fall 2008 Passion 4 Fashion Cloe. Bottom L-R: Unreleased Costume Party Yasmin, Play Sportz X-Treme Motocross Jade, Fall 2008 Passion 4 Fashion Cloe. Click to view BIG full size!

Top L-R: Unreleased Costume Party Jade, Unreleased Alter Ego Jade, Fall 2008 Passion 4 Fashion Cloe. Bottom L-R: Unreleased Costume Party Yasmin, Play Sportz X-Treme Motocross Jade, Fall 2008 Passion 4 Fashion Cloe. Click to view BIG full size!

Some of these should look pretty familiar to you guys, like the unreleased 2009 Costume Party line that was briefly on mgae.com, or the Passion 4 Fashion fall 2008 line which obviously did come out, but is it not totally AMAZING to see them in their earliest stages on paper?! It’s also fun to note how the designs were changed for production. And what shouldn’t look familiar is the never-before-heard-of Alter Ego line! We have to wonder if this idea is what led to the Moxie Girlz’ spring 2010 More2Me range? The designs Jade is rockin’ here are totally more edgy than anything from that, though. Imagine a Jade with hair like that?! *_*

Top L-R: Party 2009 Yasmin, Unreleased Magic Hair Fall 09 Jade, Pampered Petz Jade. Bottom L-R: Party 2009 Sasha, Unreleased Magic Hair Fall 09 Yasmin, Pampered Petz Yasmin. Click to view full size!

This second set is especially interesting, as we get a peek at what was planned for the fall 2009 Magic Hair range! Previously, there was just a prototype for the Big Bratz Yasmin from the line (Note the obvious “scene queen” inspiration!) From what we have so far, it looks like the focus would have been on color, but maybe cutting layers, too? So many questions! Also worth noting is Party Sasha’s adorable sketch with her more textured, and lighter-colored, hair! Thank goodness those sneakers were upgraded to Princess heels though πŸ˜‰

Top L-R: Iconz Jade, Unreleased Best Friends Cloe & Yasmin 2-pack. Bottom L-R: Iconz Sasha, Unreleased Rebel Royalty Jade! Click to view full size.

The third and final set of Bratz designs is one that really stands out to us, ‘cuz we get a peek at the original ideas for Iconz (Jade’s parasol – eep! And again, thank goodness for editing in Sasha’s case, LOL), as well as the original (Again very “Scene Queen”-influenced) Best Friends 2-pack, which eventually ended up with the Moxie Girlz, and another totally NEW discover, the “Rebel Royalty” line! Now it’s no secret that MGA had toyed with that idea before, as the working titles for the fan-fave Bratz Princess line were “Rebel Princess” and “Ragin’ Royals”, but who would have suspected a more urban, street-fashioned sequel was in the works for ’09, or maybe even 2010?! We love love LOVE the inclusion of the mask, and that yellow fur!

Top L-R: Basic Fall 2010 Avery (On Kellan!), Magic Snow Sophina, Unreleased Costume Party Clown Sophina. Bottom L-R: Unreleased "Granola Girl" Monet, Magic Snow Avery, and Magic Hair Stamp 'n' Style Sophina! Click to view BIG full size

And while some of you might not be too into the Moxie Girlz, we couldn’t leave out the FAB sketches for them! Sophina’s crimps are everything, and we can only imagine what “Granola Girl” was for x) So, what are your thoughts? Anything you wish we got in 2009? Any ideas you’d like to see revisited at some point? Sound off on facebook, twitter, and tumblr!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Thanks to our super-sleuthing abilities, we’ve tracked down the prototypes for some of this fall’s Bratz & Bratzillaz offerings – even some things that haven’t come out yet!

Keep in mind that everything pictured are EXTREMELY early prototypes and the new things shown here will either be very different or may not even come out at all! This is just to see for fun.

Bratz:

My Passion is actually almost identical to the final dolls! Jade’s changed the most, going from this amazing full-pink bob to her signature jet black with pink highlights. Yasmin’s bag also went from black to electric lime green πŸ™‚

And here’s Action Heroez, who clearly have gone through several changes – including dropping Jade all-together in place of Shira, Phoebe, and Roxxi! While we ADORE these prototypes and would L.O.V.E. them to look like these, we aren’t too let down by the final dolls, since they’re so diferent! Love those funky sunglasses/hero masks.

Costume Bash’s fashions didn’t change too much, just a few cut details here and there. Overall, we aren’t bothered by the changes – though a Yasmin with full pink hair would be totally cool!

How freaky is it seeing Totally Polished on SHORT bodies?! And Cloe and Yasmin x2? LOL! Fashions didn’t really change at all except for Yasmin – love the princess heels and different tights!

OMG y’all, new shoe packs! No guarantee that these will come out, but we can hope so! There’s supposed to be three packs (We’re assuming each row is a pack; One boots, one ankle boots, one heels, and one sneakers) and we LOVE all the different colors and the mix of old and new molds!

And here are the protos for the fall 2013 Basic line!! Yasmin’s only major change is her fur, Jade’s only ditched her socks and arm-warmers (and glasses, but they look a little odd anyways :P), and Cloe’s changed the most, though we honestly prefer the refined look of her final doll! Love the leopard print though.

And now for Bratzillaz – TONS of stuff coming from the witches!

Check out these witchy playsets! The grand Piano plays music and vibrats, and the bed and vanity can transform and “walk” – We aren’t too sure what that means LOL! But totally wicked nonetheless

You might remember this horse from our “Fall Preview” article – well now we’ve got a better look! The name of the line (or the horse – we aren’t entirely positive) is Crystal Ice Princess and this amazing horse has a bone structure that glows in the dark! As well as three color-change lights in side – totally wicked!

OMG a Bratzillaz car! Again, not guaranteed to come out, but we really hope so! This RC car has real working lights and transforms into a vanity for the Bratzillaz to use!

A better look at the Bratzillaz Back to Magic prototypes we revealed back in April! Victoria really didn’t change at all, Sashabella is a little interesting, as is Jade, and Meygana’s googly-eyed purse makes us LOL!

And here you can see the prototypes for the fall 2013 budget ‘Zillaz! Jade didn’t change much at all aside from articulation (But who didn’t see that coming anyways?), and Yasmina was dropped entirely! She looks wicked cute though πŸ™‚

And the BEST for LAST, check out three of the Bratzillaz Witchy Band dolls! These are AMAZING, look at all those details!!! The final dolls, if they come out, obviously won’t be as insanely detailed for a playline price, but we really hope to see them come out and look pretty similar like Witchy Princess!! Just LOOK AT THEM!!! Agh, perfection ❀

MGA Fall 2013 Preview!

April 20, 2013

Hey Bratz, Bratzillaz, Moxie Girlz, and Lalaloopsy fans!

Wondering what the extended intro is about? Well we’ve got a MAJOR scoop covering all of the aforementioned brands today! We’ve got photos of the prototypes for new Bratz, new Bratzillaz, new Moxie Girlz, and even new Lalaloopsy all hitting stores for fall!! Check them all out below!

*Please keep in mind the photos featured are early prototypes and everything you see has likely been changed a LOT in development!*

Of course, we’ll be starting this post off with our fave girlz – the Bratz! Unfortunately, the ONLY photo is for Twisty Styles, but hey – that’s even more than we were hoping for LOL!

WOW!! How awesome are they?! Each girl comes with awesome “dread-like” extensions to rock! We also LOVE the mixed up hair colors here, though we’re not sure if that’s a feature they’ll have in production, as the artwork is consideably different!

And next is the girlz’ wicked, witchy, magical cousins – the Bratzillaz! Luckily, we’ve got pix of Bratzillaz Back 2 Magic, and the new Witchy Glam Princess line as well!

First up is Back 2 Magic, the “2nd edition” Bratzillaz line! We’re assuming the top photo is for that line, as Sashabella, Meygana, Jade, and the two new witches are seen. We aren’t sure who it is in the bottom pic, but they are wicked glam for sure! We are SO loving the pets, too!

And now here is the line we’ve all been waiting for – Witchy Glam Princess!! We aren’t sure who is who, and quite frankly, we don’t care! All three of these witches are just absolutely enchanting!! Honestly, we can’t even choose a favorite between the three! Their fashions are totally regal and way over-the-top, and the bird cage accessories are wicked adorbs!

And next is a doll line we honestly didn’t think would have a fall 2013 line, but they do, and they’re looking cute as ever! Here are the two new fall Moxie Girlz lines!

This line, just called “Party Favors”, features the girlz in funky bright colors and fashions that double as party favor accessorie for you, too! We are sooo loving those hair colors!!

And this line is called “Snap ‘N’ Style”. Once again the girlz are rocking the awesome bright colors in their hair and their fashions! These girlz look to include flowers and things that snap onto their dresses – way cute!!

And next up is the Sew Magical, Sew Cute… Lalaloopsy! In all honesty, we haven’t followed this line too closely, so excuse us if we make some mistakes, but we know how strong of a fanbase the Lalas have and know that you would just love to see some of what’s comin’ up!

Well, that’s all for now! We are SO stoked for the fall releases to come out now more than ever!!! What do you think of this fun sneak peek? Let us know on facebook, or on twitter!

Hey Bratz Fans!

While checkin’ out TaoBao tonight, we found a VERY interesting new find! Check out this never-before seen outfitΒ being modeled on a Black Friday Meygan, a Featherageous Sasha, and a Boutique Yasmin! It just screams “Wild Life” to us… Maybe it’s from the upcoming “Bratz In The Wild” line? Have a look…

One word to describe this romper: HOT! We love the materials used, and the little glittery bowtie is a really cute touch! We cannot wait to see what this is for!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Normally, we try to avoid posting articles about prototypes, as we don’t really feel they qualify as news (unless they’re protos for something that hasn’t come out yet ;D), but these are just too cool not to share! We’ve got photos of some AWESOME prototypes for the Bratz Totally Tattoo’d line (clearly from when it was still called “Biker Babez”), and some interesting shots of Crystalicious protos as well! Check ’em out below.

Bratz Biker Babez! L-R: Cloe, Jade, Meygan, Yasmin, and Sasha! Click to view full-size

W O W! Are they hot or what? We’re really happy to see that the fashions didn’t change much other than a few rips here and there and some losses of fabric. Something we wish hadn’t changed at all though is that hair! We love the choppy, colorful chunks that the girlz are rockin’ here. It’s definitely something we don’t see everyday from the Bratz! Those helmets would have been majorly cute accessories too, but with the name change, it makes sense that we’d lose those too. Either way, we’re loving our final Totally Tattoo’d dolls just as much!

Bratz Crystalicious! L-R: Cloe, Jade, and Yasmin! Click to view full-size

And next up is this odd prototype shot for Crystalicious! The fashions are literally exactly like the released dolls’, but the hair and faces are totally different! These prototypes look to have modified versions of some of last year’s faces. Cloe appears to have her Slumber Party face, with reshaped lips and added lashes. Jade actually looks to have a whole new face (and some really GORGEOUS curly brown hair!) , and Yasmin’s appears to be her 2010 Basic face, with the same modifications as Cloe’s. Also worth noting is that funky tinsel extension in Cloe’s hair. The final extension definitely didn’t come out like that (thankfully ;P)

So, what are your thoughts on these pretty protos? Tweet us @BratzBoulevard, let us know on facebook (facebook.com/BratzBoulevard), or post about ’em in the forum at BratzBoulevard.com!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Tonight we have a major EXCLUSIVE that you cannot find anywhere else! Remember MGA’s Lady Gaga doll line that was scheduled to come out this summer? Well we have PHOTOS of the prototypes for you all to see here! Check ’em out below

Lady Gaga doll prototypes and sketch! Click to view full-size!

WOW! We can’t even type a good article right now because we’re so stunned! Look at those crazy details in her outfits! We totally hope to see these on shelves next year!

UPDATE! Hey everyone! Sorry for such a cryptic post – we were really too stoked to type more! Just some more info for you all; The dolls in Gaga’s iconic “Judas” and silver outfits were to sing “Judas” and “Poker Face”. Since Gaga’s team had MGA remove the voice chips though, there will be no singing dolls and they should be released as standard fashion dolls, along with the dolls you see in the green and piano dresses. Other products in the line included/will include (the state of the line is still somewhat of a mystery) a Head Gamez giftset featuring Lady Gaga with a few interchangeable heads and fashions, sold-separately head packs, fashion packs, and accessory packs! So are all of you as Gaga for Gaga as we are? Let us know on the forum, tweet us @BratzBoulevard, and “Like” Bratz Boulevard on facebook here!

Hey Bratz Fans!

9/23/12 UPDATE: We have spoken to a friend of ours at MGA Entertainment, who has confirmed for us that the Holiday Sasha we had seen earlier was just a prototype, and was scrapped early on. No individual promotional photos of a “final” version were shot either.

Today we’ve got a pretty interesting update on this year’s Bratz Holiday line. It looks like there might just be two Yasmin dolls for this collection! Check out the exclusive boxed photo below.

The interesting variant Holiday Yasmin. Click to view in full-size!

The doll herself looks exactly like the “standard” Holiday Yasmin doll, but the outfit is actually taken from the Holiday Sasha prototype we reported on earlier. If this is an official release, it sadly confirms the cancellation of that Sasha doll. It’s always a possibility that this is a prototype, but this looks pretty final to us. Let us know what you think though! Tweet us @BratzBoulevard or let us know in the forum πŸ™‚
