Hey Bratz Fans!

Today is a great day for Bratz fans, first all those amazing prototypes we spotted and now THIS stellar find on taobao from our pal CheeChee! Looks like we’re getting a new Bratz Special Edition line with Cloe and Yasmin for fall!

How stunning do these look?! Finally a step towards collectors edition Bratz! Yasmin’s dress looks gorgeous and very detailed, and it actually reminds us a bit of Holiday Katia’s, but in pink! Cloe in the back really steals the spotlight for us though – she looks SO amazing in red! We can’t wait to see how she looks IRL. We’re loving the box design and the inclusion of stands too!

Thanks for sharing these with us, CheeChee!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Alex here, and if you haven’t already heard, the first wave of Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch is in stores now in both the United States and Canada! Of course I had to run out and grab them as soon as I heard the news. Check ’em out below!

The Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch wave 1 double pack next to Mattel's Monster High Create-A-Monser starter pack. Click to view full-size!

First, I had to take a photo in the store of the BZ pack next to a Monster High Create-A-Monster set, and even to my surprise, they’re even more different from each other than previously though! The main similarity was the packaging, but even that’s hardly similar. Bratzillaz’ box has a more “warm”, redder color scheme, and features frames on the background, as well as a fun and curvy border on the front, keeping it in with the branding for the rest of the Bratzillaz products. Monster High went for a bright lime green background, with black rectangles corresponding to the placement of each piece. And speaking of placement, even that’s pretty different. Sure the arms are all together in both sets, but where else would they place them…? If you want to get technical, you could easily say Monster High AND Bratzillaz are copying the original “Build-A-Doll”, Betty Spaghetty! Packaging aside, the obvious difference is that the Bratzillaz double pack includes far more pieces, including not only what’s necessary to build both dolls, but to fully dress them head-to-toe as well. While the Create-A-Monster sets includes two basic dresses, one pair of shoes, one real-hair wig, and one molded-hair wig, Bratzillaz keep their witches covered in two tops, two skirts, two pairs of shoes, two saran wigs, two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, two hats, and two capes – one of which doubles as a belt! With the Bratzillaz set being $24.99, and the Monster High set at $19.99, it means you can technically get two fully-articulated, saran-haired, glass-eyes BZ dolls for $12.50 (cheaper than the basic “Core” assortment out now, which lacks articulation, saran hair, and glass eyes!) or one fully-dressed-but-not-accessorized, fully-articulated Monster High ghoul with either kenekalon or molded hair, and one without shoes for about $10 each, which is cheaper than the $14.99+ they’d force you to pay as stand-alone dolls, but still at least double what they’re worth based on quality! Just some facts for consumers to consider, now let’s get wicked! 😉

Sorry for the terrible photo, I was rushing to get them open LOL! Click to view full-size!

Here’s both sets from the first wave in their boxes! It’s a bit hard to tell, but each torso piece is actually a different mold! The leg molds are actually different on each witch too, surprisingly. Don’t worry, all three can share fashions with each other as well as with the other Bratzillaz too. Personally, I love that MGA is giving us this unexpected variety! Also, I already mentioned that the 2-pack is $24.99, but the single pack is $14.99 🙂

Here’s everything that both sets come with! The double pack includes: 2 heads, 2 torsos (with the waist joint!), 4 upper legs, 4 lower legs, 4 upper arms, 4 lower arms, 4 hands, 2 saran wigs, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets, 2 hats, 2 capes (one of which doubles as a belt, as I mentioned above!), 2 tops, 2 bottoms, one brush, and instructions. Note that the background of the box makes an AMAZING backdrop for photos too!

The single pack includes: 1 head, 1 torso (with the waist joint!), 2 upper legs, 2 lower legs, 2 upper arms, 2 lower arms, 2 hands, 1 saran wig, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of earrings, 1 hat, 1 cape, 1 top, 1 bottom, 1 brush, and instructions.

And now that you’ve seen everything they come with, we can put them together and brew up three complete wicked glam witches!

The three combos I've made so far! Keep in mind that I used pieces from both sets, so you'd need to buy both in order to create these specifically. Click to view full-size!

Aren’t they amazing? MGA really did an outstanding job on this line. The black and white witch is so bold and edgy, and definitely not something you’d typically see on a stroll down the playline doll aisle! The witch in pink and green is another real cutie. I love her winged eye makeup, and of course that ‘fro is to die for! The single pack face is just amazing as well. When MGA does glass eyes, they do them RIGHT! She’s sporting the Bratzillaz’ world-famous glitter eyes in silver!

Here's a close-up of the black and white combination. The white lashes and RED lips are truly magical! Click to view full-size, or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Those EYES! I went for a bit of a 'tween' look for her, since her body type is the least matured. Maybe she got her scholarship to the Academy early? Click to view full-size, or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Here's Miss 'Fro working it! If I were to give her a magical power, I'd probably give her the ability to control emotions! Since she's a bit clown-like, I think she should make people laugh! Click to view full-size or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Hey Bratz Fans!

After a little browsing on taobao, we spotted one Switch-A-Witch doll from the previous article in boxed form!

One of three variants

One of three variants (click for full size)

From the looks of it, this wave of Switch-A-Witch dolls is pretty different than the first, because it just includes one set of all basic body parts and one set of fashions. It seems the actual “switching” would occur once multiple dolls have been bought, allowing for multiple interchangeable pieces. We like this idea because it’s obviously going to be much more affordable than the 45 piece set, and is a great option for fans that simply want the thrill of being able to assemble their own doll! It has us wondering though, how will fans react to basically purchasing a disassembled doll? It’s pretty different from Monster High’s idea of having booster packs, because those didn’t include torsos. They were there to add-on to the original larger packages. But with this wave 2 of Switch-A-Witch, you’ve got it all in one package. What are your thoughts? Feel free to comment, visit the boards, or tell us on Facebook!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Tonight we’ve got a photo of the NEW Bratz Spring 2013 Bahama Beach Cloe doll, boxed! Granted the photo is a bit small, but we can still tell she’s super-stylin’! Check her out below…

Looks to us like she might have a new face, though it is hard to tell for sure. We’re loving the swimsuit in deep blue, and her blue streak is so Cloe! Looks like her beach bag has some lip gloss (?) For You as well. We can’t wait to see the other girlz!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today we’ve got a cool update on the Bratz Pink Winter Dream line! In addition to the three dolls, and two big dolls, we’ll also be seeing an RC Cruiser and a Snow Cabin too! Check out the photos below 🙂

The new Bratz Pink Winter Dream RC Cruiser! Click to view full size.

Above is the pretty in pink new RC Cruiser! Some might recognize it from 2010’s Moxie Girlz Magic Snow line, and last year’s Bratz Platinum Shimmerz Radio Shack set, which both featured the cruiser in white.

And above is the new Snow Cabin! Again, one might recognize these molds from the Moxie Girlz Magic Snow line. Personally, we love the warmer color scheme of this year’s Bratz cabin even more! But what do you think? Let us know and discuss with other Bratz fans over at our forum!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today we’ve got a huge update, thanks to our friend Justin! He’s shared links to practically everything coming out on WalMart.com!

To start with our favorite, here are the new Bratz Boyz coming out for this fall! We absolutely love them! Cade coming back is a dream come true, and especially for Totally Tattoo’d like we had hoped! Cameron appears to be sporting his Funk ‘n Glow outfit from this spring, but that’s okay as that doll never came out anyways! Koby is dressed for winter, though we’re not too sure exactly which line he’s for. He certainly wouldn’t fit in alongside the Bratz Pink Winter Dream girls! Either way though, Koby looks awesome and we’re more than ready for his comeback!

And while we’re on the topic of Pink Winter Dream, MGA will be continuing their popular Big Bratz line with a WalMart exclusive Big Bratz Pink Winter Dream Cloe and Yasmin! Their listings have no pictures yet, but here’s the description:

“Join the Bratz in their fabulous Pink Winter World! The Big Bratz Pink Winter Dream Doll wears her own special shade of pink furry fashions, from light pastel to beautiful brights. Each doll comes with a fancy party dress and belt to go from snow to sensational!
Big Bratz Pink Winter Dream Doll:

  • Fabulous, fur-embellished fashions
  • Comes with a fancy party dress and belt to go from snow to sensational
  • Includes their own cocoa cup and collectible animal charm keychain
  • Dimensions: 5″L x 5″W x 24″H”

Sounds pretty dreamy! ^_^

Another product listing with no photo that we thought sounded pretty awesome is a new Bratz RC car and doll set!
“The Bratz Radio-Controlled Vehicle with Doll lets the Bratz cruise in style and listen to their favorite music in a remote controlled car. The Bratz Radio-Controlled Vehicle features a speaker with input for mp3 players and fits two Bratz dolls.
Bratz 27MHz Radio-Controlled Vehicle with Doll:

  • Remote control-operated
  • Speaker with input for mp3 player
  • Fits 2 Bratz dolls (1 Bratz doll included)
  • Requires 8 AA batteries (not included)
  • Dimensions: 7.5″L x 22.75″W x 7.5″H”
And a line with pictures is this year’s Bratz Holiday line! So far, it looks like Yasmin, Cloe, and Jade are the only girls in it, though there are rumors that a Sasha will be included as well. We’ll have to wait and see! Regardless, we totally love these dolls’ outfits! Yasmin is pretty in purple and gorgeous in gold as always 😉 Cloe’s definitely a stand-out for us though. Her hair and makeup actually remind us a bit of Christina Aguilera LOL! And her dress is very trendy with the faux-ostrich feather skirt and trim! Jade is stunning as well, and we definitely don’t get to see her in green very much anymore! Her dress is pretty cute with its Christmas Tree-inspired shape and coloring. We absolutely adore the netting on top!

WalMart also has listings for all of the Boutique, Totally Tattoo’d, Chic Mystique, Style Starz, and Crystalicious dolls and sets, as well as all but Cloe in Strut it!, but since we’ve shared all of those before, there’s no need for us to post them again 🙂
And on to Bratzillaz! Again, there are listings for things we’ve already reported on (Cafe Zap, Secret Message Pad, Dolls, Pets, and Fashion Packs) so we’ll be skipping those here 😉
First up are the Bratzillaz Accessory Packs! Their names are Charmed Life, Wicked Night Out, and Academy Style. We love how wintery Academy Style looks (Very Hogwarts lol!) and while Charmed Life isn’t quite as blinged-out as we were expecting, it still lives up to its name with such high-class accessories! Wicked Night Out is super sassy, just like we want in a “club”-themed set.

Also listed is the Bratzillaz Crystal Ball playset! While we have reported on this product quite a bit in the past, we now have a photo of the set to share!

Another big thanks to our pal Justin for sharing these listings. We can’t wait to find all of this in stores!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Yet another big update today, this time on the Bratz Style Starz line! We now have the final promo photos of Style Starz Sasha!

Style Starz Sasha! On the left is her first wig, and on the right is her second. As always, click to view in full!

OMG! She’s totally stunning! We are so happy to see that her dress is still very detailed, like her artwork and prototype – we ADORE the candy on the front! She has ditched her leggings, but in our opinions, she looks much better without them! Her shoes are the Chic Mystique mold, but they look to be in a a new color that looks fantastic on her. And while we knew her first wig would be blue, we’re just now seeing that her second one is a very cute “cotton candy” shade of pink! Both look stunning, and of course very Katy Perry-inspired. Also worth noting is that while the other girls all include sunglasses, Sasha’s headwear accessory is a cute, metallic pink headband with a bow on it!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Sorry to post again just minutes after our last article, but we are proud to announce that we are the FIRST to share photos of the new Bratz Pink Winter Dream dolls’ prototypes, and a photo of Cloe in her box! Check our last post for photos of the dolls as they appear on shelves. 🙂

On the left are the three prototypes, and on the right is Cloe all wrapped up in her box! (Click photo for detailed view)

As you can all see, Cloe and Meygan thankfully don’t differ too greatly from prototype to production, but Yasmin is a whole other story! Her prototype sports a face very similar to the “Wild Life Safari” screening that MGA used on her a lot in 2009 (Spring Break Yasmin, Wild Life Yasmin, etc.) and she actually has an entirely new shoe mold as well! This line must be the sequel to Platinum Shimmerz, as a prototype from that line featured a still-unreleased boot mold too. We think the boots used on her prototype are simply amazing, and we hope MGA will incorporate it into another release somehow – it’s too detailed to go unused!

And Cloe’s box confirms that this fall’s lines will all have packaging in the style of this spring’s Funk ‘n Glow/3D Dance ‘n Glo line, with a box made almost entirely of colored cellophane, no interesting logos, and no artwork. This isn’t something that we’d like to see become a trend, so hopefully MGA will understand our concern and revert back to their older, more innovative designs next year. 🙂

Hey Bratz Fans!

Remember the “Pink Winter World” line that Amazon.de listed? Well now we’ve got some IRL photos thanks to eBay seller pauleygw1954, and a confirmation that the line is now called Pink Winter Dreamz! The line includes Yasmin, Cloe, and Meygan in highly-detailed winter fashions, which thankfully don’t feature too much pink! Unfortunately though, the Amazon listing was incorrect, as each doll only includes one outfit. However, what they are wearing is so awesomely detailed, that we don’t even mind! Now, let’s post those photos…

Bratz Pink Winter Dreamz Yasmin!

Here is Yasmin. As you can see, the dolls do have molded grey legs, but it’s easily overlooked with their floor-length saran hair, and NEW glittery facial screens! Yasmin’s outfit fits nicely with her love of more earthy looks with a cute knitted dress and matching headband, while her metallic furry coat and pink boots add some major attitude!

Pink Winter Dreamz Cloe!

Cloe’s outfit is also a great representation of her personality and love of exotic animal prints and sparkly fabrics, as it is just that! She’s wearing a shimmering pink snakeskin coat and a flashy silver skirt to match. To tie her whole look together is a metallic knitted cap on top and white & silver boots!

Pink Winter Dreamz Meygan!

Meygan is stunning in this line, with a darker shade of red hair and blue-green eyes! She might not actually have grey legs like the other two, as she comes in a cute pair of pink pants similar in shape to Wintertime Wonderland Dana’s. On top is a glamorous golden jacket with white fur trim!

Each doll also includes a star brush, cup of cocoa for the doll, and a keychain for you – just like Wintertime Wonderland! This line makes us wish it was December already, we can’t wait to spot them!

Bratz Boulevard

Hey Bratz Fans!

Amazon.de, the German branch of Amazon, has listed several of this fall’s Bratz and Bratzillaz products! While most of the products listed have been previously announced, the listings provide new information that was previously unconfirmed. You can view all of the listings here.

Perhaps the most exciting of them all is a new winter-themed line called Pink Winter World! This line, previously misinterpreted as “Pink Water World”, has been known of for about a week or two, though this is the first legitimate confirmation of the line, and also lists previously-unknown information! Amazon.de has listings up for a Yasmin, Cloe, and Meygan doll. We’re a bit concerned that “Closmin” may be back in action, but it is a possibility that Sasha is in the line as well, since she’s rarely sold overseas. According to the listings, the dolls will each include two outfits – one for their winter sports, and a second for a ski lodge party, in addition to a doll-sized cup of cocoa, and a keychain for you! This reminds us a lot of Wintertime Wonderland from 2003 and 2004, which also included two outfits (and for the same functions at that!), doll-sized cocoa, and keychains for you! We’re hoping these girls aren’t too “pinked out” though, since that’s not a very Bratzy look, if you know what we mean 😉

Also listed are the Crystalicious, Chic Mystique, and Boutique lines. While the Crystalicious and Chic Mystique listings don’t reveal anything new, the Boutique listings confirm that each doll will include two complete fashions (And yes, that means TWO pairs of shoes!), a mannequin whose stand also works for the dolls, sales counters, cash registers, scanners with real chirping sound effects, bracelets, earrings, sunglasses, tote bags, purses, shopping bags, and shoe boxes – all neatly packed in a box which doubles as a character-specific boutique (Yasmin Chic & Co, Angel Cloe & Co, L.O.V.E. Jade, and Sasha’s isn’t listed)

And in the world of Bratzillaz, there are listings for the dolls, pets, playset, secret message pad, fashion packs, and accessory packs! We now know that the Secret Message Pad will be a writing pad of some sort, which includes an “invisible ink” pen and a “magic light” which will reveal whatever you write (We can assume the light will be a black light), and that the set will double as a picture frame! While the listings for the fashion and accessory packs don’t reveal any specific details, the titles are now confirmed. The fashion packs are called “Romantic Spell”, “Midnight Magic”, “Blood Red Charm”, “True Blue Style”, and “Changed-Up Chic”. We’re guessing Romantic Spell will be Jade’s, Midnight Magic will be Yasmina’s, Blood Red Charm will be Sashabella’s, True Blue Style will be Meygana’s, and Changed-Up Chic will be Cloetta’s. The accessory packs are called “Wicked Night Out”, “Charmed Life”, and “Academy Style”. We think Charmed Life will include lots of shiny bling for the witches, Academy Style will include some school-themed accessories for the girls’ school of magic and fashion, and Wicked Night Out will include fun “dressy” accessories like clips, headbands, etc.

We’re so excited to see everything! Let’s hope we can see some photos soon 😀
