Hey Bratz Fans!

It’s been a slow news year for us, so we’re sorry for the lack of Bratz updates! But we finally do have something cool to share about our favorite Girls With a Passion for Fashion – We got our hands on the official prototypes and inspiration boards for this year’s international exclusive My Passion Wave 2 Yasmin and Meygan dolls! Check ’em out below 🙂

How seriously stunning are these two?! Luckily (Well for those of you who live in the few places these were sold!) the finished dolls don’t differ too much – Meygan’s accessories actually got a little more detailed, taking some clear inspiration from the makeup case shown in her mood board. One thing we’re extremely curious about is “Indie Song Writer Felicia“! Yes, you’re reading that right, Pretty Princess was going to be a brand new Felicia! To be honest, we’re so relieved that didn’t end up happening. Can you imagine the agony of never being able to own her?! Nonetheless, it’s good to know she’s still being considered by MGA and we would totally LOVE to see the earliest prototype for her as Fe.

So what are your thoughts?! Comment below, or let us know on facebook or twitter!

Today we’d like to put all rumors to rest that Bratz Trend it! Vinessa, Shadi, and Meygan are cancelled. First we had the exclusive box shots, and now we’ve got photos of the dolls out of their boxes, from TaoBao! Huge thanks to our friend, and Bratz Boulevard forum member Domenic for the tip! Hey Bratz Fans!

Today we’ve got quite the scoop regarding the notorious Bratz Trend it! Meygan, Shadi, and Vinessa dolls which, until now, had been dismissed by Bratz fans as unreleased dolls, never to see the light of today. Now, we’ve got never-before-seen (presumably new) box promo shots of all three dolls in the line, which might be hinting at a release after all! Check ’em out down below!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Tonight’s update is on the new Chic Mystique Meygan doll! If you remember, we found her art work (as well as all of the other Bratz artwork for fall 2012 – major score on our part!) back in July, but until now, we haven’t heard anything about her! Today an ebay listing for her went up though, and confirms her release as a Toys R Us exclusive. Check out the seller photo below!

She’s certainly stunning in our opinions – definitely one of the best in the line! She appears to be inspired by a funky green parakeet, which is totally cute! So what do you all think? Let us know at the forum!

Hey Bratz Fans!

If you remember our second post, then you know there’s a line called Biker Babez coming out that we haven’t heard much of – until today that is! Our awesome friend Maxim shared a new (final!) promo picture featuring Meygan, Jade, Cloe, and Yasmin from the line! It hasn’t been confirmed that Sasha will be making an appearance in this collection, but it’s very likely that she will. 🙂

Biker Babez! L-R: Meygan, Jade, Cloe, and Yasmin!

Meygan is definitely the standout doll in this line for us! The very first thing we noticed was her dark brown lipstick, which is a major throwback to Meygan’s roots – we totally missed seeing our Funky Fashion Monkey with her dark, dramatic tones! Her hair color is also absolutely stunning, in a very bright red with a few auburn lowlights. Her outfit is very cool too, with her skin-tight black pants, skull motifs, and electric blue vest! Of course she’s got on her tattoo sleeves, as that is the main feature of the line.

Jade is a knockout as well! While she has done pink streaks a lot over the past few years, it’s one of her signature quirks and it works in a line like this. We love how MGA switched things up a bit and gave her grey eyes though! Her outfit is very Pretty ‘N’ Punk with her schoolgirl skirt, and the studded pink pleather top is giving us some major biker vibes!

Cloe’s probably the one whose look has been switched up the most here, and we love her! Her hair is very golden blonde here, as opposed to her usual platinum locks, and she’s also got some brown lowlights. Her makeup is very dramatic as well, with fire engine red lips that pop against her pale blue eyes! Her outfit is giving off some Britney vibes LOL, but we’re always down for a Brit nod! Like Meygan, Cloe’s got on skintight leggings, but her’s fit into her boots – which are also to die for, by the way! The chain belt is an awesome detail as well!

Yasmin is another standout for us. Immediately, we noticed that MGA is using her darker hair color for this line, and mixing in some raspberry colors as well! We like that MGA kept Yasmin’s earthy theme alive by giving her the least dramatic makeup in the line too. Her netted top with a black tube top underneath is a favorite piece of our’s, and we adore her high-waisted leather shorts too! Her peachy pink vest on top contrasts really nicely against the darker pieces. In our opinion, Yasmin looks like the one who’s most ready to hop on a Harley and ride off! And if you’ve seen the Bratz episode “Truth or Dare”, you’d know she already has! LOL

Hey Bratz Fans!

Sorry to post again just minutes after our last article, but we are proud to announce that we are the FIRST to share photos of the new Bratz Pink Winter Dream dolls’ prototypes, and a photo of Cloe in her box! Check our last post for photos of the dolls as they appear on shelves. 🙂

On the left are the three prototypes, and on the right is Cloe all wrapped up in her box! (Click photo for detailed view)

As you can all see, Cloe and Meygan thankfully don’t differ too greatly from prototype to production, but Yasmin is a whole other story! Her prototype sports a face very similar to the “Wild Life Safari” screening that MGA used on her a lot in 2009 (Spring Break Yasmin, Wild Life Yasmin, etc.) and she actually has an entirely new shoe mold as well! This line must be the sequel to Platinum Shimmerz, as a prototype from that line featured a still-unreleased boot mold too. We think the boots used on her prototype are simply amazing, and we hope MGA will incorporate it into another release somehow – it’s too detailed to go unused!

And Cloe’s box confirms that this fall’s lines will all have packaging in the style of this spring’s Funk ‘n Glow/3D Dance ‘n Glo line, with a box made almost entirely of colored cellophane, no interesting logos, and no artwork. This isn’t something that we’d like to see become a trend, so hopefully MGA will understand our concern and revert back to their older, more innovative designs next year. 🙂
