Hey Bratz Fans!

Just over a week ago, we unveiled some amazing Bratz designs by Youngsin Kwon from that mysterious era in 2009 when the girlz’ fate was still in legal limbo. Seeing some of those sketches and prototypes gave us all an awesome look at what almost was, as well as a behind-the-scenes-peek at some of the released dolls in their earliest forms! Being as nosy curious as we are, we just had to try and reach out to the designer herself, and to our delight, she got back to us! Since her time with the Bratz, Youngsin has totally kept herself busy as a successful designer at huge places like A&F, Disney Korea, Sanrio, and is currently designing for Korea’s largest toy company, Young Toys! And despite her understandably packed schedule, Miss Kwon has agreed to let us interview her, and we want you to help us!

BB Youngsin Interview

Keep in mind how totally monumental this is! Before now, we’d probably never learn anything more about what MGA had planned for the Bratz in fall 2009, and certainly not into 2010, but now we’ve got direct access to the woman who designed it all! This is also a great opportunity to learn more about what it takes to become a fashion designer, as well as the process of designing for Bratz, and dolls in general! Aren’t you psyched?! 😀

You can comment your questions below, or submit them on facebook, twitter, tumblr, and flickr too!

O M G! How amazing are they?! All four of them are just amazing, honestly even better than we expected! Cloe is WORKING her website designer look with those glasses and streaks! Bunny Boo is a fave of ours too in her fashion designer getup – love the yellow streaks and cute tape measurer! And peep the new cat-eye screening 😉 Jade is just fantastic!! Crimped bob with a Missoni print dress?! Yes please! And Yasmin is ready to start the party in her rockin’ hot DJ look – so obsessed with her gloves and microbraids!

So, what are YOUR thoughts on this fab new line?! Are you excited to see the girlz rockin’ careers for the first time ever? Thanks again to Matt for sharing this amazing find with us!

LOVE this line!!! Though we’ll be honest, thes dolls are a bit of a small let down in comparison to the dolls shown on the back of the box. The fashions are identical thankfully, but the fabrics look a little bit cheaper (Mostly Yasmin), and all of them have recycled faces… Plus, where are Jade’s crimps?!

UPDATE #2! Cloe has been revealed and we are happy to say that she still looks 100% awesome!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today’s awesome update comes to you thanks to fellow Bratz fansite, Bratz Heaven! Thanks to their super-sleuthing abilities, we now have Amazon links to the new Bratz Action Heroez and Bratz My Passion dolls! Both of these lines are presumably for fall, but the fact that they’re already on Amazon (though no photos yet) and – at least for the heroez – even listed in Target’s database, makes us wonder if these could be a “mid-season” release. Kind of like True Hope coming out in June, rather than August last year!

Action Heroez is super exciting, based on the confirmed characters alone! Cloe & Yasmin of course, but also Roxxi, Phoebe, and Shira! No word on what their superpowers are, but their listings confirm that each doll will include a mini figure which unlocks an augmented reality game online! Check out the listings below:

Yasmin
Cloe
Roxxi
Phoebe
Shira

Be sure to give yourselves a pat on the back for helping to bring back Roxxi, Phoebe, and Shira, too! When it came time to choose who went in what lines this fall, MGA went to our survey results and used some of your fan faves! We can’t wait to see who else is coming back this year 🙂

And the next new line is called “My Passion”. This line is something Bratzies have been requesting for a LONG time – the Bratz unleashing their passions and working their dream jobs! This line features the core-four, and each girl has a different career. Check out their listings below!

Yasmin – Music DJ
Cloe – Web Designer
Sasha – Fashion Designer
Jade – Fashion Blogger

We LOVE how this sounds, and we love even more that the Bratz’ careers are outside of the box and not the typical “career doll”-type jobs like a “babysitter” or a “pet vet”.

A BIG thank you again to Bratz Heaven for sharing these exciting updates with us all, and we’ll see if we can find out anything else about them!
