Hey Bratz Fans!

LONG time, no update! We’re really sorry for the delay in announcing the winners of our drawing for the two Bratz Russian-Exclusive Special Edition Holiday dolls! We’ve both been pretty busy, but now it is finally spring break and time to let everyone know whose pictures we drew!

Bratz Boulevard 2013 Holiday Giveaway graphic 1

We received TONS of amazing entries, far more than even we were expecting! And MGA was just as impressed! Everybody should be really proud of their hard work, win or no win. And now without further ado…

First, Cloe is going to Daisy Flores! Daisy gave us this adorable edit of 2004’s Wintertime Collection artwork and said, “I love Bratz [because] they express [themselves]!” We love that too! ;D

And next, Yasmin is on her way to “prettyprincesa1337”, who submitted this cute photo of Pretty Princess working some special holiday sparkle! She says she loves Bratz “[because] they [are] unique and cool dolls. they [inspire] me to be my self and love fashion!” Sounds great to us!

Hey Bratz Fans!

If you missed out on the two Bratz Boyz for fall 2008 (Bratz Boyz Really Rock! Eitan and Bratz Boyz Wintertime Collection Cameron) way back in the day, you’re in luck! The two recently appeared on ToysRUs.com, and even more recently, in a Toys R Us store in Portland, ME! The listing for Eitan can be found here, and Cameron’s here! If you don’t want to get them online, be on the lookout at your Toys R Us!! We spotted them in their shipping carton way up top of a shelf. The carton is listed as “Bratz Boyz 4 PC Asst Wave 1” and contains two of Eitan and two of Cameron. Photos below!

It was totally trippy seeing these two in such brand new, untouched condition at a store! We aren’t too sure why they’re re-surfacing, but we’re guessing Toys R Us/MGA just had some left over stock? Either way, it’s always fun to find some “vintage” Bratz on the shelves!

Hey Bratz Fans!

She looks AWESOME!! Despite the slight let down with My Passion, we’re still definitely getting majorly hyped about the Heroez. Just look at how cool and colorful Cloe looks!! We’re going to keep our fingers crossed that the seller posts the actual doll soon – and maybe the others too?

Hey Bratz Fans!

Tonight we’ve FINALLY got a photo of a new Bratz line for fall 2013! This update comes to us thanks to our amazing collector friend Matt, aka Clawdeena9! He spotted these on taobao, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

O M G! How amazing are they?! All four of them are just amazing, honestly even better than we expected! Cloe is WORKING her website designer look with those glasses and streaks! Bunny Boo is a fave of ours too in her fashion designer getup – love the yellow streaks and cute tape measurer! And peep the new cat-eye screening 😉 Jade is just fantastic!! Crimped bob with a Missoni print dress?! Yes please! And Yasmin is ready to start the party in her rockin’ hot DJ look – so obsessed with her gloves and microbraids!

So, what are YOUR thoughts on this fab new line?! Are you excited to see the girlz rockin’ careers for the first time ever? Thanks again to Matt for sharing this amazing find with us!

LOVE this line!!! Though we’ll be honest, thes dolls are a bit of a small let down in comparison to the dolls shown on the back of the box. The fashions are identical thankfully, but the fabrics look a little bit cheaper (Mostly Yasmin), and all of them have recycled faces… Plus, where are Jade’s crimps?!

UPDATE #2! Cloe has been revealed and we are happy to say that she still looks 100% awesome!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Things have been moving pretty slowly in terms of leaks this year, right? We’ve only seen two photos of anything new for the Bratz, and nothing has shown up on our favorite site, taobao! Until now! A seller has listed both the Bratz Twisty Styles FFMs; Cloe & Yasmin! These are new for fall 2013, and like the Twisty Styles dolls, feature totally new faces! Check ’em out below…

How CUTE are they with the new Tokyo a Go-Go-inspired faces?! We are totally loving Yasmin with her frosted lips and dark blonde hair! Also included with the FFMs are yarn “dread lock” extensions for the Bratz and you, though those weren’t included in these listings. Let’s hope some new dolls show up next!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Alex here, and if you haven’t already heard, the first wave of Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch is in stores now in both the United States and Canada! Of course I had to run out and grab them as soon as I heard the news. Check ’em out below!

The Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch wave 1 double pack next to Mattel's Monster High Create-A-Monser starter pack. Click to view full-size!

First, I had to take a photo in the store of the BZ pack next to a Monster High Create-A-Monster set, and even to my surprise, they’re even more different from each other than previously though! The main similarity was the packaging, but even that’s hardly similar. Bratzillaz’ box has a more “warm”, redder color scheme, and features frames on the background, as well as a fun and curvy border on the front, keeping it in with the branding for the rest of the Bratzillaz products. Monster High went for a bright lime green background, with black rectangles corresponding to the placement of each piece. And speaking of placement, even that’s pretty different. Sure the arms are all together in both sets, but where else would they place them…? If you want to get technical, you could easily say Monster High AND Bratzillaz are copying the original “Build-A-Doll”, Betty Spaghetty! Packaging aside, the obvious difference is that the Bratzillaz double pack includes far more pieces, including not only what’s necessary to build both dolls, but to fully dress them head-to-toe as well. While the Create-A-Monster sets includes two basic dresses, one pair of shoes, one real-hair wig, and one molded-hair wig, Bratzillaz keep their witches covered in two tops, two skirts, two pairs of shoes, two saran wigs, two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, two hats, and two capes – one of which doubles as a belt! With the Bratzillaz set being $24.99, and the Monster High set at $19.99, it means you can technically get two fully-articulated, saran-haired, glass-eyes BZ dolls for $12.50 (cheaper than the basic “Core” assortment out now, which lacks articulation, saran hair, and glass eyes!) or one fully-dressed-but-not-accessorized, fully-articulated Monster High ghoul with either kenekalon or molded hair, and one without shoes for about $10 each, which is cheaper than the $14.99+ they’d force you to pay as stand-alone dolls, but still at least double what they’re worth based on quality! Just some facts for consumers to consider, now let’s get wicked! 😉

Sorry for the terrible photo, I was rushing to get them open LOL! Click to view full-size!

Here’s both sets from the first wave in their boxes! It’s a bit hard to tell, but each torso piece is actually a different mold! The leg molds are actually different on each witch too, surprisingly. Don’t worry, all three can share fashions with each other as well as with the other Bratzillaz too. Personally, I love that MGA is giving us this unexpected variety! Also, I already mentioned that the 2-pack is $24.99, but the single pack is $14.99 🙂

Here’s everything that both sets come with! The double pack includes: 2 heads, 2 torsos (with the waist joint!), 4 upper legs, 4 lower legs, 4 upper arms, 4 lower arms, 4 hands, 2 saran wigs, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets, 2 hats, 2 capes (one of which doubles as a belt, as I mentioned above!), 2 tops, 2 bottoms, one brush, and instructions. Note that the background of the box makes an AMAZING backdrop for photos too!

The single pack includes: 1 head, 1 torso (with the waist joint!), 2 upper legs, 2 lower legs, 2 upper arms, 2 lower arms, 2 hands, 1 saran wig, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of earrings, 1 hat, 1 cape, 1 top, 1 bottom, 1 brush, and instructions.

And now that you’ve seen everything they come with, we can put them together and brew up three complete wicked glam witches!

The three combos I've made so far! Keep in mind that I used pieces from both sets, so you'd need to buy both in order to create these specifically. Click to view full-size!

Aren’t they amazing? MGA really did an outstanding job on this line. The black and white witch is so bold and edgy, and definitely not something you’d typically see on a stroll down the playline doll aisle! The witch in pink and green is another real cutie. I love her winged eye makeup, and of course that ‘fro is to die for! The single pack face is just amazing as well. When MGA does glass eyes, they do them RIGHT! She’s sporting the Bratzillaz’ world-famous glitter eyes in silver!

Here's a close-up of the black and white combination. The white lashes and RED lips are truly magical! Click to view full-size, or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Those EYES! I went for a bit of a 'tween' look for her, since her body type is the least matured. Maybe she got her scholarship to the Academy early? Click to view full-size, or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Here's Miss 'Fro working it! If I were to give her a magical power, I'd probably give her the ability to control emotions! Since she's a bit clown-like, I think she should make people laugh! Click to view full-size or check her out at flickr.com/alexbabs

Bratz Survey 2013!

January 17, 2013

Hey Bratz Fans!

Those of you on flickr know that our own Alex has his own yearly Bratz survey every January to collect all the fans’ feedback and opinions on the Bratz, to share with MGA and make the girlz even better! Well this year is no different, except now the survey is on flickr and here at Bratz Boulevard so even more people can participate!

If you have a flickr account, please post your responses here, and if not, then share your thoughts in the comments on this post, or our facebook page! And without further ado, here are the questions!

1.)Of all the besties in the Bratz Pack, which old fave would you like to see back the most?

2.)What’s one of your all-time favorite Bratz lines that you’d LOVE to see refreshed?

3.)What else would you like to see the Bratz doing? What kinds of styles should they explore, and where should they go next in terms of fashion?

And now the biggest question of all!
4.)Who would you consider to be a #RealBratz? It can be you, someone you know, or even someone you don’t know personally, but know of! For example: www.seventeen.com/college/advice/girls-who-started-busine…

What is a #RealBratz? Real Bratz are game changers, innovators, and strong leaders! People who aren’t afraid to shake things up and create their own lane in life! A Real Bratz is someone who challenges themselves as well as their friends to unleash their passions and express themselves! If you’re having trouble deciding whether or not your candidate is a #realbratz, ask yourself this; “Would (candidate) A.) Change the world by thinking of something great to do that no one else has done yet and doing it, B.) Work for someone that is changing the world and doing great things, or C.) Avoid change altogether” If they fit option A, you’ve got a #RealBratz! Of course the Bratz are all about diversity, so we want all kinds of people – girls, boys, icons, and up-and-comers! If they’re making a difference and doing things their own way, we’d love to hear about them!

You can nominate someone by telling us about who you’re nominating and why, and we’d love to see some video entries too! If you’re nominating yourself or a friend, feel free to make a video of them and link to it in your response!

ImageThanks so much, Bratz fans! We can’t wait to read your responses and share them with the Bratz Team!
