Hey Bratz Fans!

It’s that time of year again! Time for those fabulous bargain Bratz to start hitting shelves… in Canada! You all might be familiar with the $5 basic dolls that are released each year as a Black Friday deal for the USA, and an early treat for Canada. They’re Walmart exclusives, and always seem to be released in Canada before they hit the USA.

Anyway, they’ll reach the USA eventually, but for now all the Canadians out there (including berrybread) are super lucky!

Here are some pics!

As you can see, there are two options of Cloe, Yasmin, and Meygan. We totally love the new spin on some of our favourite fashions from past lines. For instance, Meygan’s printed version of “Trend it!” Sasha’s dress is SO cool!

Which ones are you going to get your hands on?

Hey Bratz Fans!

It’s officially fall, and you know what that means – time to start scouring taobao daily for new Bratz! LOL! Today we found a listing for this fall’s Bratz Special Edition Cloe doll! Until now, all we had seen of Angel was her promo pic on the back of Yasmin’s box, but now we’ve got pix of her, deboxed and lookin’ seriously stunning! Check ’em out below.

WOW! We love her, even more than Yasmin! Her makeup is gorgeous – love the red lips! Her hair also looks to be nice quality. We are so lovin’ the throwbacks in this line. Fellow super-Bratzies will note that Cloe is working a new version of Bratz Holiday 2006’s Trinity dress, but remixed in a really nice, warm red & gold color scheme. We love the little glitter detailing all over it! Also a bit of a throwback are Cloe’s shoes! We are definitely here for all the returning classic Bratz shoe molds we’ve gotten this year! Hopefully Cloe & Yasmin will show up in stores soon, just in time for the holidayz!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Today is a great day for Bratz fans, first all those amazing prototypes we spotted and now THIS stellar find on taobao from our pal CheeChee! Looks like we’re getting a new Bratz Special Edition line with Cloe and Yasmin for fall!

How stunning do these look?! Finally a step towards collectors edition Bratz! Yasmin’s dress looks gorgeous and very detailed, and it actually reminds us a bit of Holiday Katia’s, but in pink! Cloe in the back really steals the spotlight for us though – she looks SO amazing in red! We can’t wait to see how she looks IRL. We’re loving the box design and the inclusion of stands too!

Thanks for sharing these with us, CheeChee!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Alex here, to fill everybody in on the super awesome new Bratz Action Heroez app out now! We posted a little about it on our facebook page and some of our readers wanted to know more about this amazing app! Hopefully I can cover everything with this 🙂

The first thing you’ll notice in the home screen is that thare are two ways to play! “Adventure” mode does not require a Bratz Action Heroez figurine or AR matt (Though it can be enhanced with them – I’ll cover that later) and is the “main game” of the app. “Virtual Experience” mode has several features involving the figurines and matts, which are not only fun on their own, but can also enhance gameplay in “Adventure” mode, which again, I’ll cover later in this piece.

First up, here’s Adventure Mode!

In Adventure mode, you play as Yasmin (Unless you have any of the figures & mats for other characters, in which case you can switch and play as any of the ones you’ve unlocked with the mat) who is now an Action Hero, and are introduced to the city of Passionview. After fixing a broken fountain, you meet Evilla Vanderbelt (pictured above), the villainess of the game whose mission is to suck all the color out of Passionview, and eventually the world! The first step to stopping her is to destroy her troll-esque minions that are wreaking havoc all around the city! To do this, you run around, hunt them down and use your super powers (Depending on which doll you’re playing as; Yasmin’s tornado twirl, Cloe’s speed dash, Shira’s angel flight, Roxxi’s fire whip, or Phoebe’s ice shield!) and the kicking action to destroy them all! Since the game has only been out for about two days now, it’s still in version 1.0, so your next mission after killing off the minions is still locked, but we’re excited to play it when the first update comes out! For now, I’ll cover some of the other exciting features in Adventure mode.

The city of Passionview is totally huge, and covered in beautiful Bratz billboards! So far, I’ve seen the 2010 basic art, Twisty Style Jade’s, and the four girlz in their “branding” outfits we wrote about when the BratzCam app launched. Fun little Easter Egg: One of the shirts on the clothing racks actually has some cute throwback Yasmin art on it from 2007! So far, I’ve explored enough to see Passionview’s beach, market, Colliseum, drive-in theater, the fashion district, the town center, and of course all the buildings and alleyways. Surrounding the city are several fantasy-themed locations too, though none are available yet (They’ll be unlocked in further updates), they all look really cool!

And now for the “Virtual Experience Mode”!

As you can see, there's TONS to do! Click to view full size.

This mode makes use of the cute Action Heroez figurines and AR mats included with the dolls, unlocking each character, as well as six fashions for each, individual “training” minigames, and more!

Not pictured: Yasmin's My Passion outfit, but that's available too! Click to view full size.

When you choose the fashion option and scan your figure, you insantly unlock their fashion line – six outfits that you can now wear in Adventure Mode, as well as “Party Mode” (Which I’ll cover next). I’ve only got Yasmin, Cloe, and Shira at the moment, so I’m really excited to see what new fashions the Twiins will unlock! Shira borrows Sasha’s (unreleased) Twisty Style fashion, her My Passion look, her Xpress it! outfit, “branding” fashion, fall 2013 basic look, and of course Shira’s own Action Heroez suit! Cloe’s fashions come from her fall basic doll, Twisty Style, Xpress it!, My Passion, All Glammed Up Designer Streaks, and of course her Action Heroez doll. Yasmin’s are from her My Passion, fall basic, Xpress it!, Rock, and Action Heroez dolls, plus an unknown fashion (center), with a cute striped top!

The Party Mode in the virtual experience allows you to scan more than one figure and watch them interact with each other! Each of the figures will greet each other differently, which is totally cute, and as you can see, they stay in the outfits you picked out in the fashion feature!

Each character will also unlock her own “training” minigame when scanned! These are not only super fun on their own, but with each level you pass, the character’s power actually increases in the Adventure Mode game! In Cloe’s game, you’ve got to dodge bombs being dropped while using her Speed Dash power to destroy the evil bugs and troll minions! How gross are those bugs?! LOL! Shira’s game is kind of like Action Heroez dodgeball, using her angel flight powers, you have to avoid the evil eyeballs running towards you. Yasmin’s minigame uses her Tornado Twirl to bust open boulders and unleash the flowers inside of them! All three are really fun, and surprisingly pretty challenging since you’re timed! It all pays off to boost your in-game power though 😉

So, that is the super awesome new Bratz Action Heroez app, available now in the app store for iPhone/iPod touch and iPad! Get it here 😀 if enough Bratzies get it (It’s free!), maybe it could even chart for a bit like the Style Starz app did last fall!

Be sure to check out my video review on the Bratz Action Heroez Yasmin, Cloe, and Shira dolls below too!

Hey Bratz Fans!

Tropisounds, who made the fab Bratz Style Starz and Bratzillaz apps for MGA last fall, have once again teamed up with our girlz to bring out the new Bratz Cam app, available now in the app store! Bratz Cam is kind of an extended, updated version of the camera feature in the Style Starz app, with more fun filters, frames, and stickers than SS!

One of the best things about the app, from a Bratz fanatic’s point of view at least, is all the new art for fall that comes with the app! In the sticker feature, there’s a ton of art for this fall’s lines that you can slap onto your pix and resize & rotate to your liking. Fans will notice stuff from My Passion, Costume Bash, and Action Heroez, plus a new mysterious set of art that we’re trying to find out more about!

How awesome are they?! Hopefully this is a new line coming out, and not just more “concept art” that the Bratz designers love to do 😛

Hey Bratz Fans!

We have SO much love for Amazon right now! Today, they finally added photos to their listings for three of the five Bratz Action Heroez dolls! The Bratz “wonder twiins” Roxxi and Phoebe are yet to be seen, but for now we have the amazing Yasmin, Cloe, and Shira! Check ’em all out below.

How awesome are they?! We love that Bratz are continuing to take on themes that would usually be considered “kiddy” (Like mermaids, princesses, and now super-heroes) and doing them in a totally new and edgy Bratz way by incorporating real current trends! We are all over the BRIGHT, neon look on these girlz – they are totally in with the recent trend of colorful sporty-inspired dresses. Yasmin is the most colorful of the three, with that eye-popping electric lime green, black, and magenta look! Her hair is kind of like Neon Runway Sasha’s, which we love since that doll was never released! As usual, Bratz are killing it with their big variety of materials on a single outfit. On Yasmin alone, we can count at least four different fabrics! All the netting is awesome, though we do wish it were “stretched” a bit more, to make it more obvious that it is in fact netting. Her stockings are super cute, and the SHOES on all three are just to die for!! Again, totally trendy at the moment! We LOVE the colors, and the clear plastic platforms! The girlz can really kick out the competition now with all these new shoes for fall 😉 Cloe is totally cute too! Her outfit isn’t as over-the-top as Yasmin’s, but just as awesome! We LOVE the spandex and the symmetrical cut-outs on her legs and torso areas! The little “Pow!” belts on all three were a really great touch, too. Finally, is the return of SHIRA! We loved “Drama Mama” in 10/10/10, but we must say this look for her is even better! The light grey eye color looks awesome against her darker skin tone, and her makeup palette is super cool! Her outfit is a suit like Cloe’s with cut-outs, though Shira’s aren’t symmetrical and give more of a “ripped” appearance. The cut out over her stomach gives us a perfect view of the new surprise torso joint we’re getting! We can totally sacrifice articulation on the basic lines if it means getting even more on the big ones!

Each doll in the Action Heroez line comes with a new Bratz brush and an adorable figurine that unlocks activities in an upcoming Bratz Action Heroez app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch! We can’t wait to play!

So what do YOU think of the new Bratz Action Heroez? Do they save your day or leave you hangin’? Let us know on facebook and twitter!

Hey Bratz Fans!

TaoBao never seems to disappoint! Tons of pics of the new dolls in their final stage have been revealed! Forget prototypes, we’ve got the real thing right here! This is the way the dolls will look when they hit shelves hopefully super soon…

ImageImageImage
Here we see Twisty Styles without all the fancy do-das in their hair, so don’t worry about that! They’ll look ever cooler once those all get put in! We’re really glad to see that the outfits really haven’t changed all that much, as we totally loved them as prototypes. Sadly the hair seems to be Nylon, which is a first for a Bratz hair-play line, BUT the colours are to die for (especially Jade’s)! As for the faces, they seem to have changed a little, but keeping the same basic idea in mind. Be sure to click the pictures for a closer look to see for yourself.

ImageImage
Here are Cloe and Jade from Costume Bash and we could not be happier with the turn out! Check out how much like the prototypes they are! Although, Cloe’s eyes seemed to have changed a tiny bit, as well as the colour of her streaks from purple to pink. Both dolls are flawless, we’re so excited! Can’t wait to see Yasmin eventually…

Image
Also, look at the back of the box! First of all, that artwork is SO COOL. And second, we love the promo MGA is adding on the back of the boxes. It’s bound to bring some new fans into the online world of Bratz!

ImageImageImage
Awww look at the basic Bratz! They look just like the prototypes, it’s great! Still looking fabulous as ever! Yasmin even seems to have make up that’s just a tiny bit lighter than her prototype, so that’s nice to see. Looking good, girls!

Image
Lastly we have the new basic Jade J’adore Bratzillaz! She’s definitely very…. red. Haha! We love the shoes, that’s an awesome mold, and the skirt is pretty funky too! But we wish we weren’t getting quite as strong of a Ronald McDonald vibe! 😛 Either way, we’re excited to see how the other girls turn out!
