Hey Bratz Fans! We’ve finally got some Bratz news to share, or well, it’s news to us! The blog of a former MGA designer was brought to our attention, and we are floored by what’s on it! The blog is called Sparkling and Sensuous, and is that of Youngsin Kwon, former Bratz & Moxie Girlz designer for MGA! In 2011 (How on Earth did we all miss this?!), Kwon posted quite a few of her designs for the Bratz, and Moxie Girlz, and we are living! Check them all out below.
Some of these should look pretty familiar to you guys, like the unreleased 2009 Costume Party line that was briefly on mgae.com, or the Passion 4 Fashion fall 2008 line which obviously did come out, but is it not totally AMAZING to see them in their earliest stages on paper?! It’s also fun to note how the designs were changed for production. And what shouldn’t look familiar is the never-before-heard-of Alter Ego line! We have to wonder if this idea is what led to the Moxie Girlz’ spring 2010 More2Me range? The designs Jade is rockin’ here are totally more edgy than anything from that, though. Imagine a Jade with hair like that?! *_*
This second set is especially interesting, as we get a peek at what was planned for the fall 2009 Magic Hair range! Previously, there was just a prototype for the Big Bratz Yasmin from the line (Note the obvious “scene queen” inspiration!) From what we have so far, it looks like the focus would have been on color, but maybe cutting layers, too? So many questions! Also worth noting is Party Sasha’s adorable sketch with her more textured, and lighter-colored, hair! Thank goodness those sneakers were upgraded to Princess heels though 😉
The third and final set of Bratz designs is one that really stands out to us, ‘cuz we get a peek at the original ideas for Iconz (Jade’s parasol – eep! And again, thank goodness for editing in Sasha’s case, LOL), as well as the original (Again very “Scene Queen”-influenced) Best Friends 2-pack, which eventually ended up with the Moxie Girlz, and another totally NEW discover, the “Rebel Royalty” line! Now it’s no secret that MGA had toyed with that idea before, as the working titles for the fan-fave Bratz Princess line were “Rebel Princess” and “Ragin’ Royals”, but who would have suspected a more urban, street-fashioned sequel was in the works for ’09, or maybe even 2010?! We love love LOVE the inclusion of the mask, and that yellow fur!
And while some of you might not be too into the Moxie Girlz, we couldn’t leave out the FAB sketches for them! Sophina’s crimps are everything, and we can only imagine what “Granola Girl” was for x) So, what are your thoughts? Anything you wish we got in 2009? Any ideas you’d like to see revisited at some point? Sound off on facebook, twitter, and tumblr!

Hey Bratz Fans!
It’s Novemer, and you all know what that means – Spring Bratz on Taobao! We’ve been combing the site daily for a few weeks now and have tracked down a few goodies that could be from the Bratz 2014 wardrobe! Check ’em out below 🙂
These pieces just went up today! The one we’re most sure about is the vinyl dress Monet (far right) is wearing, as it appears too big for her, and also matches the “duct tape” descriptions of the Project Bratz line. We think this is a hot dress and would look fab on Yasmin with the right accessories! It kind of reminds us of 2009’s Pampered Petz Yasmin, mixed with some of the vinyl fashions that defined that era for Bratz. Other new pieces here are the pineapple print leggings on Sophina (3rd) and the red, green and purple grape dress on Avery (Far left). We’re kind of hoping those fruity pieces are actually for Moxie girlz, since they seem to fit them better both size and style-wise. It is also a possibility that they are from the spring Garden Party line as well though.
This cute minidress has actually been floating around Taobao for about a week now, though we’ve been hesitant to post it before knowing for sure what it was for, but why not? We’re assuming the gold version being modeled by Sasha is a factory error, as the one in blue, green and gold on Jade is listed by a few sellers. We are also assuming the shoes and earrings on Jade are included in whichever doll the dress is intended for, our best guess being Project Bratz given the “duct tape” look of the vinyl dress! We think this is such a cute piece, we love the bright colors and the tribal-inspired striped print! We actually did get to ask one of our friends at MGA about this dress, and whether or not it’s for Project Bratz. They said, “If I remember right, that dolls dress doesn’t look like the final duct tape look we had gone with. But, to be fair, it’s been close to six months since I’ve seen them.” So it sounds like it could go either way! Regardless, we like what we see!
And just a reminder, stay tuned for our big announcement PLUS our raffle for the Russian Exclusive Bratz Special Edition dolls coming up very soon!

Hey Bratz, Bratzillaz, Moxie Girlz, and Lalaloopsy fans!
Wondering what the extended intro is about? Well we’ve got a MAJOR scoop covering all of the aforementioned brands today! We’ve got photos of the prototypes for new Bratz, new Bratzillaz, new Moxie Girlz, and even new Lalaloopsy all hitting stores for fall!! Check them all out below!
*Please keep in mind the photos featured are early prototypes and everything you see has likely been changed a LOT in development!*
Of course, we’ll be starting this post off with our fave girlz – the Bratz! Unfortunately, the ONLY photo is for Twisty Styles, but hey – that’s even more than we were hoping for LOL!
WOW!! How awesome are they?! Each girl comes with awesome “dread-like” extensions to rock! We also LOVE the mixed up hair colors here, though we’re not sure if that’s a feature they’ll have in production, as the artwork is consideably different!
And next is the girlz’ wicked, witchy, magical cousins – the Bratzillaz! Luckily, we’ve got pix of Bratzillaz Back 2 Magic, and the new Witchy Glam Princess line as well!
First up is Back 2 Magic, the “2nd edition” Bratzillaz line! We’re assuming the top photo is for that line, as Sashabella, Meygana, Jade, and the two new witches are seen. We aren’t sure who it is in the bottom pic, but they are wicked glam for sure! We are SO loving the pets, too!
And now here is the line we’ve all been waiting for – Witchy Glam Princess!! We aren’t sure who is who, and quite frankly, we don’t care! All three of these witches are just absolutely enchanting!! Honestly, we can’t even choose a favorite between the three! Their fashions are totally regal and way over-the-top, and the bird cage accessories are wicked adorbs!
And next is a doll line we honestly didn’t think would have a fall 2013 line, but they do, and they’re looking cute as ever! Here are the two new fall Moxie Girlz lines!
This line, just called “Party Favors”, features the girlz in funky bright colors and fashions that double as party favor accessorie for you, too! We are sooo loving those hair colors!!
And this line is called “Snap ‘N’ Style”. Once again the girlz are rocking the awesome bright colors in their hair and their fashions! These girlz look to include flowers and things that snap onto their dresses – way cute!!
And next up is the Sew Magical, Sew Cute… Lalaloopsy! In all honesty, we haven’t followed this line too closely, so excuse us if we make some mistakes, but we know how strong of a fanbase the Lalas have and know that you would just love to see some of what’s comin’ up!
These are the new take on Lalaloopsy’s popular Silly Hair line. This time, the dolls will feature REAL yarn hair to style! Loving that length!
And above are three upcoming “mainline” Lalaloopsy dolls. We don’t know of their names, but you might! Looks to be an alien, a woodland creature of some sort (LOL!) and a really sweet peppermint-themed doll!
And above are from the upcoming Lalaloopsy “Factory” line. Very similar to Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch, in that it allows you to create your own Lalaloopsy doll! Looks like LOTS of fun mix & match combos will be available, too cute!
